Tissue culture Lab was started at NARC in 1982 by Late Dr. Azra Qurashi with emphasis on pre-basic potato seed production with other crops like, date palm rice, carnation and banana in 1998 gene transformation through Agrobacterium mediated system has been started. ABP has well established tissue culture system of potato as banana with genetic engineering of rice, Banana, Potato, Tomato and wheat
