Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dera Ghazi Khan was established in 1989 by the struggle of the then Education Minister, Punjab to conduct the various examinations of the students of Dera Ghazi Khan Division comprising of four Districts i.e. Dera Ghazi Khan, Muzaffargarh, Layyah and Rajanpur.
